CookingDuring cooking time, children will be introduced to good nutritional living and important life skills. At our center, children will have an opportunity to prepare nutritionally balanced snacks. Various cooking skills will be introduced such as: pouring, peeling, measuring, mixing, and spreading. Our little cooks will feel a sense of accomplishment when eating their very own cooking projects. Lastly, good hygiene will be stressed and reinforced in the cooking class.Art InstructionDaySpring art classes taught by our creative staff are “process” oriented, where children can freely express themselves. Crafts will still be designed by our students during art time, but overall, the process will be emphasized rather than the product. Children will use crayons, tempera paints, finger paints, scissors, glue, paste, fabrics, yarns, and an assortment of other items to make original creations. Children will make colorful clay and play-dough to use during art time. |
