Announcing a New Class - "Shining Stars"!

Toilet Training Available

Ages 2 1/2 to 3 years

DaySpring Child Care Center is a non-profit, self-supporting Christian-based center, which is sponsored by Metuchen Assembly of God. Located in central New Jersey, in Middlesex County, the center provides childcare for preschool children ages 2 1/2 and up, including Kindergarten age. Using the A BEKA curriculum plus art, music and computers, the center offers children a full day program, from 7:30AM to 6:00PM, or a part-time program for those parents who only need half-day care.

A full day program for young children must be carefully balanced to meet the needs of each child. The class placement of each child is based on an October 1st cut off date. The DaySpring program is developmental, and geared to cover the various areas of a child’s growth. While the program provides a rich learning experience, the primary goal is the total development of the child through a loving and caring Christian environment. Therefore, our aim is to provide opportunities for physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual growth. We will do this within the framework of a daily schedule. We consider this important to the child’s emotional being, since it gives him a sense of security. At the same time, our schedule (and entire program) is extremely flexible and encourages creative learning. The atmosphere in DaySpring is warm and home-like. Groups are composed of 8-12 children per staff, depending on the child’s age and activity. Teachers create a child centered environment where children can gain confidence through developmentally appropriate activities and “quality” play. Learning occurs spontaneously through these activities, while formal instruction and reinforcement constantly challenge the growing child. There is no competition between or comparing of children. The specific program for each child depends on his or her developmental level in a particular area.

Finally, we believe that DaySpring Child Care Center will fulfill the needs of the working parents in our community. Our purpose is to operate a professionally staffed, State-Certified, Christian Center while encouraging the development of the individual potential within each child; and helping that child to achieve a positive selfimage.
