School Calendar
The Center offers a year-round program, with the hours of operation being Monday through Friday, from 7:30AM to 6:00PM. However, we will have the following holiday closings: Staff Inservice Day (usually the Friday before Labor Day), Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, and Independence Day. The day before Christmas Eve, the center will be closing at 3:00PM. A survey will be conducted to see if the center should remain open for Dec. 26th and the day after July 4th.

Professional Staff
DaySpring Child Care Center has a Center Director who is state certified and in charge of the overal program . Our teachers are also state certified and have many years of experience working with young children. Our assistant teachers are carefully chosen for their loving attitudes, and often have an Associates degree.

Directions to DaySpring Child Care Center
From Rt. 27 North:
From Rt. 27 North turn right onto Rose St. Proceed ½ mile and make a right turn directly before the second stop sign. Enter the driveway and park either to the left, along the barrier wall or to the right by the entrance to DaySpring Child Care Center.

From Rt. 27 South turn left onto Rose St. Proceed ½ mile and make a right turn directly before the second stop sign. Enter the driveway and park either to the left, along the barrier wall or to the right by the entrance to DaySpring Child Care Center.

From Rt. 287 South:
From Rt. 287 South take New Durham Exit. At the light, make a left turn onto New Durham. Go to the next signal light and make a right onto Bridge St. Proceed to the end of Bridge St. and make a left at the signal light. This will be Rt. 27 North. Proceed 4/10 of a mile and make a right turn onto Rose St. Proceed ½ mile and make a right turn directly before the second stop sign. Enter the driveway and park either to the left, along the barrier wall or to the right by the entrance to DaySpring Child Care Center.

From Rt. 1 North:
From Rt. 1 North take exit marked Metuchen & U Turn, which is beyond the 2nd traffic light north of the Ford plant. After exiting, proceed on Main St. for ½ mile and make a left turn onto Brunswick Ave., and go to the stop sign. Make a left turn onto Lake Ave., (which in 1/10 mile becomes Whitman Ave.) – than proceed another 2/10 mile. At this point Rose St. intersects Whitman Ave. on a curve. Turn right onto Rose St. and make an immediate left up the driveway. Enter the driveway and park either to the left, along the barrier wall or to the right by the entrance to DaySpring Child Care Center.

From Rt. 1 South:
From Rt. 1 South take second Metuchen exit south of Menlo Park Shopping Mall. This 2nd exit is marked Metuchen, 95, NJ Turnpike. On the ramp, bear left following Metuchen sign. Proceed onto Main St. for 4/10 of a mile and make a left turn onto Brunswick Ave. and go to the stop sign. Make a left turn onto Lake Ave., (which in 1/10 mile becomes Whitman Ave.) – than proceed another 2/10 mile. At this point Rose St. intersects Whitman Ave. on a curve. Nutrition:
Snacks – The Center will provide a morning snack. Children will also be served a nutritious afternoon snack, containing little or no sugar, salt, and additives.
Lunches – Parents will provide a box lunch (including beverage), with their child’s name on the lunch box. Suggested lunches might include: sandwiches, crackers, hot lunch in a wide mouth thermos, fruit (fresh or dried), milk or juice (also in a thermos). Every lunch should consist of one or more of the following proteins: milk, yogurt, cheese, meat, poultry, or fish. |
